A woman is recovering in hospital after a cement truck reportedly exploded in Lane Cove.

A woman is recovering in hospital after being thrown down a 25-metre embankment when a cement truck exploded in Sydney.
She was working on a job site in Lane Cove, on Sydney's lower north shore, when the concrete pump burst about 5.45pm yesterday.
The explosion spread concrete all over the construction site on Northwood Road and covered nearby cars.
SafeWork NSW is investigating the incident.

The woman is being treated for suspected broken pelvis and ribs at Royal North Shore Hospital.
SafeWork NSW confirmed it has: "commenced an investigation following an incident at Lane Cove on 26 September 2022, where a female worker was injured.
"As the investigation is ongoing no further comment can be made at this time," a spokesperson said.
