Man killed, another in serious condition, after horror crash south of Brisbane
Police said today one man has died and another remains in serious condition after a horror crash south-west of Brisbane.
The 25-year-old died after succumbing to life-threatening injuries following a three-vehicle traffic crash at Amberley in Ipswich yesterday.
The fatal incident happened at about 6.45pm, when a grey Mitsubishi Lancer was turning west onto the Cunningham Highway from Ipswich Rosewood Road and collided with a truck, which was travelling east.
The Lancer then crashed into a silver Toyota Camry before coming to a stop.
The rear passenger of the Lancer, a 25-year-old Ripley man, sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.
The driver, a 33-year-old Highgate Hill man, was flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane in a serious condition.
The front passenger was uninjured.
The driver of the truck, a 25-year-old Pine Mountain man, and the driver of the Camry, were also physically uninjured.
All are assisting police with inquiries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is appealing to witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision or CCTV from the area to come forward.
Investigations are continuing.
