There is a major police operation underway in Surry Hills, in Sydney's inner-east, after a home invasion.
At least six police cars and the riot squad are on Nickson Street, which has been completely closed off, and officers were seen knocking at the entrance of a house.
Part of Crown Street is blocked off at Cleveland Street.

NSW Police said officers were called to a home on Crown Street about 4pm after reports of a home invasion.
"Three people have been arrested and taken to Surry Hills Police Station where they are assisting with inquiries," a statement said.
A number of people were home at the time of the break-in but no injuries have been reported.
Officers from Surry Hills Police Area Command remain at the scene and investigations are ongoing.
